What You'll Be Doing
Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of electrical power systems for utility/generation applications and markets
Working with management and multidiscipline technical team to develop/contribute conceptual designs, estimates, and proposals
System field research, analysis with studies, specifications, detailed technical design, development/fabrication, site installation, commissioning, and reports
Assist in training technical staff, strategic clients and follow/improve application process for quality deliverables on time and on budget
Assist with assigned projects/services as client and subcontractor interface for technical and management ensuring overall success with a safe workplace
Contribute to generation of project reports for operations monitoring to achieve a profitable and harmonious work environment
Aid in providing efficient and effective clients technical support that promotes safe practices and reduces risk
What We're Looking For
Electrical Technologist with relevant co-op experience and an asset if 309A, 4th or 5th term apprentice with knowledge/experience of electrical power systems turn-key solutions
Design research/works and in-service retrofits addressing regulatory requirements
Site drawings, Single Line Diagrams, EWDs, CWDs, and cable schedules
Protection relays settings and programming/testing, assist with studies
Panels/E-Houses design/drawings, material handling, fabrication/wiring, and testing
Excellent project team participation, technical adapting, speaking and writing skills to effectively communicate
Strong attention to detail, a high degree of accuracy in work, and organizational skills working cooperatively in a team environment
Must be self-motivated and show initiative to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
